What is Ready for CSP New Mexico?

Ready for CSP New Mexico is a multi-phase support system for charter leaders who are ready to expand or replicate their existing school. Through workshops, individualized application coaching, and a yearlong fellowship, leaders will gain the tools needed to:

  • Submit a strong CSP Round 4 application

  • Plan responsibly for awarded funds

  • Build sustainable school expansion models

  • Strengthen finance, operations, and enrollment systems

Programming is designed for: 

  • Charter school leaders who plan to replicate or expand through CSP Round 4 grants.

  • Previous CSP awardees who want to strengthen their approach to sustainable growth.

Whether you are preparing your first replication application or refining your growth strategy, this initiative supports leaders at every stage.

Three Phases of Support

CSP Application Workshops (Mar - April 2026)

A series of virtual and in-person workshops led by The Mind Trust during the CSP application cycle. Participants will receive expert guidance on crafting essential pieces of the application and implementation plans, including drafting but not limited to a comprehensive budget, internalizing spending guidelines, and building out staffing and enrollment plans.

Individualized CSP Application Support (May - Sept 2026)

A select group of applicants will be offered 1:1 coaching and application review. Leaders will review strengths and gaps in their application, working through guidance from an experienced CSP application coach. Best suited for CSP Round 4 applicants who plan to grow or expand their existing school and are selected to receive individualized application support.

Ready for CSP New Mexico Fellowship (Oct 2026 - June 2027)

 Fellows will receive a deeper layer of support through in-person, quarterly convenings and monthly individualized coaching for up to 2 leaders per school. Throughout the fellowship, leaders will sharpen their expertise in school finance, operations, enrollment management, and other essential components of a sustainable school model. Fellows will gain skills and strategic tools that will ensure long-term operational excellence. Additionally, fellows will receive a stipend of $2,500 each. The application will open April 8, 2026.
